Company Policy StatementIt is the aim of Power Testing Ltd. to carry out all of its operations in such a way that the safety of staff, customers, suppliers and the general public is maintained, that all customer requirements are met or exceeded and any negative impacts on the environment are minimised. Power Testing Ltd. aims to provide a level of service that we ourselves would wish to receive. To this end, Power Testing Ltd. undertakes to: • Provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities. • Provide and maintain safe plant and equipment. • Ensure safe handling and use of substances. • Maintain safe and healthy working conditions. • Utilise suitably trained staff and create trained and competent staff through encouragement and the provision of training and learning schemes. • Ensure through selection and monitoring that all parts of our supply chain adhere to the Declaration of Human Rights and that all staff members are made fully aware of its existence. • Use reputable suppliers, whose performance shall be monitored. • Make available, to all interested parties, information and records held by or on behalf of Power Testing Ltd. • Provide technical support to staff and customers, including assistance with the development of customer specifications and the provision of engineering solutions. • Identify potential improvements in the way that Power Testing Ltd. operates through such avenues as auditing, customer feedback and employee suggestions and implement improvement actions. • Carry out management reviews of all facets of company operations. • Consult with all employees on all facets of Company operations and inform all staff of changes, improvements and additions to working practices. • Plan all works and allocate staff and resources accordingly. • Assess risks and implement suitable control measures, including provision of information to staff, customers and the general public. • Review all customer requirements, to ensure that Power Testing Ltd. can conform to such requirements. • Make available to all staff the necessary tools, equipment, materials and personal protective equipment to enable work to be carried out safely and completely and to ensure that any items issued are, and remain, fit for purpose. • Provide first aid training for all staff. • Ensure that any accidents, incidents or near misses are promptly and fully investigated and any remedial actions are implemented as soon as is practicable, including informing all interested parties of any changes in procedure. • Minimise the use of raw materials, resources by careful selection, planning and usage. Encourage the use of Environmentally friendly technologies. • Fully assess the environmental aspects and impacts of our operations and set targets to reduce the effect of any negative impacts. • Provide and maintain a set of procedures and rules that ensure achievement of all safety, quality assurance and environmental objectives. • Appoint key members of staff to operate and maintain the management system and give these members of staff the requisite authority. • Comply with all relevant legislation and management standards, including management systems of our clients.
